Privacy Policy

Overview

This app helps you create location-based reminders ("geo-fences") so you receive alerts when you enter or leave a place you care about. We take your privacy seriously and are transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

  • Account information: Your name and email address, used to identify your account and send share invitations.
  • Location data: Your current geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) and estimated accuracy, collected only while location sharing is enabled, and used to detect when you enter or exit your geo-fences.
  • Reminders: The name, description, category, coordinates, radius, and alert preferences for each reminder you create.
  • Activity logs: Records of when you enter or exit a geo-fence, including the event type, your coordinates at that moment, and a timestamp. Logging is enabled by default but can be turned off in Settings at any time.
  • Shared reminders: When you share a reminder, the recipient's email and a copy of the reminder details are stored so they can accept it in their app.
  • Preferences: Display preferences, default geo-fence radius, and your generated API key (if you create one).

How We Use Your Data

  • To detect geo-fence crossings and deliver entry/exit alerts.
  • To display your reminders and activity history within the app.
  • To send share invitations and reminder details to recipients you choose.
  • To save your preferences so the app works the way you expect.
  • To allow third-party integrations you authorize via your API key.

Location Sharing

Location access is opt-in. You will be asked for consent before any location data is collected. You can revoke location sharing at any time from the home screen or by adjusting your browser/device permissions. When location sharing is off, the app cannot detect geo-fence crossings until you re-enable it.

Your live location is processed ephemerally in real time to detect geo-fence crossings and is not stored. When you cross a geo-fence boundary, an activity log entry (with your coordinates and timestamp) is saved — but only if Log entry/exit events is turned on in Settings. If you turn it off, geo-fence events are processed without saving any record to your history.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. The only time your reminder information is shared with another person is when you explicitly choose to share a reminder — in which case the details you selected are sent to the recipient via email, SMS, or an in-app invitation. Shared reminders created through the app are visible only to the recipient you specified.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your reminders and activity logs are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual reminders at any time. Deleting your account permanently erases your account, all reminders, and all activity logs — this action cannot be undone.

Security

Your data is stored securely and access is restricted to your own account through row-level security. API keys are unique to your account and should be kept private; treat them like a password.

Third-Party Services

Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap contributors. Address search uses the Nominatim geocoding service. These services may receive search queries but do not receive your account or reminder data.

Your Rights

  • Access and review your reminders and activity logs at any time.
  • Update your preferences and default settings.
  • Delete individual reminders or your entire account and associated data.
  • Revoke location sharing at any time.
  • Turn off entry/exit event logging in Settings to process geo-fence crossings without saving any record.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.

Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. If you're signed in, visit /delete-account to delete instantly, or submit a deletion request by email from the same page.
